FETHIYE, Turkey - Road signs are unexpectedly delicate objects needing regular replacement because of warping, scratching, encounters with vehicles and disappearances due to severe weather conditions. While these accidents are inconvenient they can be predicted and planned for. But what really rankles with the Turkish Highways Agency is that signs have to be substituted because they have been the victims of target practice or theft."

Turkeyâs Prime Minister Erdogan told a Cologne gathering of 20,000 people of Turkish background they should not assimilate into Germany but should retain their Turkish identify at all costs. He said: âAssimilation is a curse against humanity. I may be thinking differently from Merkel on this issue but I clearly say that nobody can dictate to the Turkish community to assimilate. We are ready to do whatever is necesary for their integration,â German Chancellor Merkel was furious at his remarks and noted âwe will have to continue debating our understanding of integration issues with the Turkish Prime Minister.â"

The Hague - Dutch Integration Minister Ella Vogelaar has criticised Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's recent speech to Turkish immigrants in Germany.
Mr Erdogan said that while Turkish immigrants should learn German, they should keep their distance from German culture and society. He called assimilation a crime against humanity."

Even, within some conversations, it is possible to hear that narcotic money has an additional value for Turkey. Data on drug usage verifies the fact that Turkey is not a crucial drug consumption market, it is mostly a transit country. Due to drug smuggling, billions of dollar have entered to the country."

Turkey wants to buy an Israeli spy satellite, but the Jewish state's demand that any of its sensitive military facilities stay off-limits to surveillance could scupper the deal, officials said on Tuesday.
