Dear Meltem,

 

Thank you for distributing the correspondance related to the Mural at American Airlines Terminal at JFK where Ayasofya is shown without the 4 minarets. The portion of the long mural at the AA terminal which shows the Ayasofya without the minarets is attached.

 

I was just in Salt Lake city on the way to Seattle where newspapers were showing a moslem preaching at the Salt lake City airport (like the one preaching at Ak Merkez in Istanbul a couple of weeks ago) and when I mentioned the Ayasofya mural and the correspondance to a fellow passenger, the comment was "waste of time." Unfortunately all these innocent acts, such as freedom of the artist as the AA response states, reveal the anti-islam and anti-Turkish sentiments that people have around the world. I am glad to see that the TurkishCoalitionof America will take an action this issue.
