BRUSSELS, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- The European Union's (EU) foreign ministers on Monday outlined new priorities for Turkey to gain its accession to the 27-member regional bloc.

The ministers, meeting in Brussels, adopted a revised set of principles, priorities and conditions in the Accession Partnership with Turkey, which constitutes the framework for Turkey's preparations and provides guidance for financial assistance."

One of the people who congratulated the independence of Kosovo was the leader of Northern Cyprus, Talat.

Talat said: 'I salute independence of Kosovo. EU should act with the awareness of their responsibilities. In the name of Turkish Cypriots, I congratulate the people of Kosovo who endure many hardships and retain its fight for preservation of their identity.'"

"Commemorative events on 16th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy to be held in 60 cities

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayli-APA. Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations will hold commemorative events on the 16th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy in 60 cities of the world. Press service of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad told APA that the majority of the commemorative events will take place with participation of Turkish Diaspora organizations. The participants of the rally that will be held in Strasbourg, France on February 23 will underline close participation of Armenian president Robert Kocharian in the savageries and demand to bring him to International Tribunal. The resolution of the rally will be presented to the officials of European Union and Council of Europe. A monument devoted to Khojaly tragedy will be unveiled in The Hague, Netherlands on February 24. The complex prepared with support of the State Committee is the first monument on Khojaly tragedy erected abroad.
Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis will also organize commemorative events on the anniversary of the massacre."

Jozias Van Aartsen, Co-ordinator for the Caspian Sea-Middle East-European Union Gas Route, paid a two day visit to Ankara on 13-15 February. During his visit, Mr. Van Aartsen met with high-level Turkish officials including Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Güler as well as Foreign Minister and Chief Negotiator Ali Babacan. Before his departure from Ankara, Mr. Van Aartsen held a press conference where he underlined that the Nabucoo Project was coming closer to reality. The Coordinator stated that the EU and Turkey were in a strategic relationship on the energy issue. “Turkey can be the energy lungs of the EU,” Mr. Van Aartsen stated."

Anti-Semitism has always been one of the strong political currents in modern Armenia and among the Armenian Diaspora. Some of the ultra nationalist Armenians even accused the Jews and Zionist of planning genocides against the Armenian people. For many Tashnak (ARF) member for instance believe in that the 1915 Events had been planned by the Jews. They also argue that the real power behind the Young Turks were the Jewish businessmen during the last years of the Ottoman State. The Armenian ultra-nationalists even labeled Mustafa Kemal Ataturk as Jewish origin."
