[Daughters_of_Ataturk] California's success story !!

Dear members and friends,

 

Haluk and I completed our dinner event for Congressman Wexler last night. It was a huge success for California. We raised $21 000 as of today. Total of 100 families/individuals donated this amount. There were 50 guests last night and we had a very enthusiastic crowd. Both Congressman Wexler and TCA's President Mr. Lincoln McCurdy gave very informative and passionate speeches. We found out why it was so important to support congressmen/women more than presidents. We learnt about how to contribute more and how to get involved better to raise our voice for peace and Turkish-American rights. Mr. McCurdy shared with us the record number of contributions from Turkish-American community since last year.

 

We were not alone in our efforts to raise this amount of money. Our special thanks go to Mr. Lincoln McCurdy, Neslihan and Hamza Yilmaz, Sema and Bulent Basol, Dilek and Yavuz Sert, and Saduman Gurbuz who worked very hard with us to raise this money. 

 

We thank each and every one of you for all of your contributions. Our contributors have not been limited to California. We got great response from Texas, DC, NY and other states. We especially thank Mr. and Mrs. Aydin and Hulya Koc, Mr. Cihat Esrefoglu, Mr. Tunc Doluca, Mr. Gunay Evinch, Mr. and Mrs. Hamza and Neslihan YIlmaz for their generous contributions.

 

We will be sending the whole contributor list very soon. We are grateful to everybody in this list and would like to thank them for their support for Turkish-American community.

 

We hope to work together in future with all of you to make a difference.
